Once you're set up to take the flat frames it won't take too much longer to take them for each filter though.

That is to create master flats and use them for a few months or something changes. It's a good project for a cloudy night. Capture sets of flats for each channel and create a master flat from them for each channel. The flats can generally be re-used for a good period of time.

When I used to do LRGB I would use the same set of flats for months. Unless a new dust doughnut popped up somehow.
