Can't import StarNet into PixInsight
I’m having trouble getting the StarNet process into PixInsight. After following the online instructions, it does not appear in the search window with PixInsight/Process/Modules/InstallModules. Might any of you have some, well, insights?
1. I’ve downloaded the SourceForge link specifically for the PixInsight module, “Starnet_PI_windows.zip” from 2019-06-17.
2. I dropped the files from the extracted download into C:\Program Files\PixInsight\bin.
3. I searched in the PixInsight InstallModules window—nada.
4. Troubleshooting:--
• I confirmed that my PC’s processor supports AVX code—it does (AMD Ryzen 3950X core ).
• I checked for “StarNet-pxm.dll”—it’s there.
• But the files in the extracted folder seem to be lacking an executable! Here’s what’s there:--
mono_starnet_weights.pb
rgb_starnet_weights.pb
StarNet-pxm.dll
tensorflow.dll
License and ReadMe
Am I missing a file or two? Anything else I can try?
This is a new workstation with new WIN10 and Norton installations, and their “supervisory functions” are unlike any I’ve experienced so far—Norton in particular will block or delete downloaded files, and even remove script from files that it deems hazardous. Before downloading, I’ve toggled off the features I think may do this sort of thing, but perhaps I’m missing a file or two nonetheless.
I’m still working through the online discussions of StarNet and others’ experience with this, but in the meantime I’d be grateful for any help rendered.
Thanks for considering,
David

Re: Can't import StarNet into PixInsight
First let's check the easy ones...
Scroll through the list of processes using the process explorer.
They are in alphabetic order. Look for Starnet. Is it there? If yes, we're done!
If not:
click scripts on the top menu
click feature scripts
Click add
navigate to where you downloaded the starnet files and select them.
Click enable all and done
Be sure the two large files are in in the Pixinsight\bin folder. I also put copies in the Pixinsight root folder.
Good Luck!

Re: Can't import StarNet into PixInsight
It must have imported in stealth mode or something. I saw no evidence of this happening; it looked to me like PixInsight did not recognize it at all.
Kudos to you for a comprehensive error check---many thanks!
