I've never used Sky Safari as a planisphere but thought I'd try it for grins on my iPhone 7. Tilted my phone back, toggled the compass button and plotz - nothing. Turned on location services and still nothing.
I get a msg that it can't determine true north so it will use mag north. I didn't see anything else in the manual, so what am I missing? Do I need the compass app installed?
Maybe no surprise since the compass app was way off anyway when I did have it on my phone.
Thanks.
