Using the Polemaster

Post by jazzin »

I've been using the Polemaster and it is amazing for PA but I have a question about the process.

When you get to the part where it says, 'Move the RA axis a minimum of 30 degrees'. How do you do this without going through the Goto Alignment procedure?

I haven't figured that part out yet.

Thanks

While I do not use a Polemaster, I do use SharpCap's polar alignment routine. I do this first thing before I even turn the mount on. I simply unlock the RA clutch and rotate the mount by hand and then make the necessary adjustments. After I am done with the polar alignment, I then return things to the home position and lock it down.

THEN I fire up the mount and do a GOTO alignment (or plate solve, etc).
