Setting in camera exposure

#1

Post by jazzin »

This is kind of a PixInsight question or a Canon camera question but I can't get my login to work at those forums so I hope ya'll don't mind me posting it here.

I am shooting with a Canon T7i and I noticed something this morning while running Cosmetic Correction on one of my sub exposures. While the process is running and displaying the image statistics in the format explorer, I saw the Exposure statistic said 5 sec instead of the 360 sec I had told SGP to do an exposure for. I have my camera shutter set to bulb and when I am going through my sequence it runs for 360 seconds but the image doesn't look like a 360 sec sub so maybe it is only doing a 5 sec sub even though it is running like a 360 sec sub.

I am at a loss for what other setting I should change to fix this. Can anyone give me a suggestion?

Not a 100% sure on this, but but on some cameras you have to set the camera to be in Bulb mode through its menus as well, not just in the software. Did you do that too?

ARock,

I fixed it the easy way. I just reset all settings in the camera. Maybe not the smartest way but it worked.
