ASCOM Platform 6.5 - Service Pack 1

#1

Post by Gordon »

ASCOM has released an upgrade.

Key changes from Platform 6.5 are:

Applications and drivers can once again use the Transform component multiple times, fixing a bug introduced in the initial Platform 6.5 release
The installers are digitally signed
The user is alerted if the installer finds that write access to the user's Documents folder is restricted
The Hub, Pipe and POTH configurations are backed up to the ASCOM Profile before the drivers are unregistered by the installer
Numerous Device Hub enhancements and fixes (please see the release notes for details)
Earth rotation data download has been restored following NASA's decision to remove anonymous unencrypted access to the data in October 2020

If you installed the initial Platform 6.5 release, we strongly advise you to update to Service Pack 1 in order to get the fix for the Transform bug.
