So far, the list seems focused on astrophotography software, but I didn't see any statement that the list should be limited to astrophotography. As a strictly visual observer (with the occasional attempt at capturing afocal, single frame pictures), I would add:

planetarium/star chart software:
stellarium has been my favorite that I have tried: stellarium.org
cartes-du-ciel/skycharts -- especially if, like me, your older laptop has trouble with stellarium or if you want to be able to print star charts: https://www.ap-i.net/skychart/en/start
My new Linux installation also suggested KStars and HNsky. They don't seem as detailed, but they are still out there.

Moon:
For those that are willing to go beyond seeing the moon as just the ultimate source of light pollution and delve into a little selenography, a good moon atlas like Virtual Moon Atlas: http://ap-i.net/avl/en/start

Galactic atlas:
Where is M13, which is basically someone's attempt to try to show where all of these objects that we like to look at really fit into the galactic scheme of things. http://www.thinkastronomy.com/M13/
telescopes: XT6 and XT12 Dobsonians
binoculars: 15x70

Sorry Mr Shorty, another Imaging Software package to add. (although I have to say Stellarium is too my favourite planetarium package by far)

Can't believe it's not been mentioned already, APT (Astro Photography Tool)

I'll add Backyard EOS and Backyard Nikon to the list of imaging software. https://www.otelescope.com/ They may not be as full featured as some of the others, but they are a great way to cut your teeth if you have a Canon or Nikon DSLR.

For Plate Solving there is AstroTortilla, https://sourceforge.net/p/astrotortilla/home/Home/ among others.

Note: I am only mentioning software I have used, that hasn't been listed yet.
