Who knows the real story. The pictures of the hole in an article I read was defiantly a drilled hole complete with the drill walking scar. Was the picture the real article, no way of knowing.

That's the problem. It is unacceptable to work with a partner on something as complex and fragile as the ISS when that partner has a "we know what happened but aren't telling" attitude.

there may be compartments, sure, but the air/oxygen supply is not compartmentalized. 1 leak drains the total air supply. of course you can seal off a compartment but depressurization creates mechanical stresses. it's not a trivial problem.

if Roscosmos has a disgruntled employee who is sabotaging the station that information needs to be shared.

Yes, this is simply ridiculous. The USA and the Soviets were able to cooperate in space in the midst of the Cold War in the 1970's, for the historic Apollo-Soyuz mission. There is no reason we cannot cooperate in 2019 in diagnosing whatever led to a hole in the ISS. It's just plain sad.

ikr, if someone makes a minor mistake at your day job ,upper management will interrogate every soul until they are found and how what why when they did it.drilling a hole into iss station which results in sucking out life support into the deep ,well...over a year later...
