Congratulations to the Planetary Society!

They've been pushing the idea for I-don't-know-how-long, and I am so happy to see they finally achieved a good result. Of course, Physics says it will work just fine, but empirical results are always so gratifying.

great to see notfritz! I have been a fan of these designs for decades. Now we just need to direct one towards Proxima Centauri, that is if we can achieve something like 10% of light speed in the future.

It could also potentially be used to do missions to the outer solar system at reduced time and cost. How about a dedicated mission to the Oort Cloud?
