Yes, you read that right. NASA is giving away a NOS (New Old Stock) Saturn 1 Booster for free.
You only need to pay a small shipping and handling charge.

I could not even begin to imagine the costs and logistics nightmare of getting that to South Africa!
I could however imagine that standing upright in my backyard, pretty cool piece of history.
Eyeballs, binoculars, sketch box, Scopes n stuff.
Some people don't understand why I love astronomy so much, I cannot understand why they do not!

Dang, I set up the backyard for a Saturn V booster, otherwise I would just have to snap this up. Refitting the gantry would just put me over the top on budget :).

I may check out the Shuttle tile alternative, however!
