(Reuters) -Amazon's billionaire founder Jeff Bezos said on Monday he and his brother Mark will fly on the first crewed space flight from his rocket company Blue Origin next month.

Now we know why he is stepping down as CEO of Amazon, to lead his next company, Blue Origin into a new space race against SpaceX and others. It seems a bit risky for a centibillionaire to ride on the first flight, so we shall see what happens. Hopefully he will return safely.

Yup. From the news reports, the testing has been very extensive so Jeff, et al should be fine.
I wonder how much prep they are doing for this. Centrifuge to experience g-forces? Parabolic flights to see if they can tolerate weightlessness well? The lottery winner who goes with won't have much time to get ready.
Any metaphor will tear if stretched over too much reality.

Funds go to getting kids interested in STEM so something good has already been done.
