SN 2019fck in NGC 5243
We have another SN to report in Canes Venatici. This time in the spiral galaxy NGC 5243 (mag=13.1, size=1.5'x0.4', SBr=12.5). The Type 1a SN is currently listed at mag 14.5 and appears to be on the upswing. If the forecast holds (yeah right!) I might have a shot at going over to the dark site on Sunday/Monday, and plan to check it out.
FYI, this galaxy lies almost 4° southwest ofNGC 5353 where I observed SN 2019ein which is now listed at mag 14.7 and thus on the downward slide.

Thank you Gabrielle. I forgot to add the image on this one as well. As one can see, it is a little removed from the "visible" portions of the galaxy and seems to be in the outer fringes of the spiral arm structure. Therefore anyone (myself included) attempting this one needs to be aware that visually it will appear removed slightly from the galaxy's disk.
