100 Earths Project

#1

Post by Graeme1858 »

I was listening to a Plantary Radio podcast (https://www.planetary.org/multimedia/pl ... arths.html) Mat Kaplan was interviewing Yale astronomer Debra Fischer. She leads the 100 Earths project that includes the Lowell Observatory.

She was describing the Express spectrometer which can measure 4-5cm/sec change of velocity of a star caused by the gravity of a planet as it orbits 100s of light years away!!! :Astronomer1:

Awesome!

Regards

Graeme
