Observing Project - Red Dwarf Stars
Here is a little project for folks that may be looking for something a little different to do. In the linked article is a list of the 14 brightest red dwarf stars visible in backyard telescopes. Good luck and hope you have fun if you decide to do this. Of course not every one of these will be accessible to everyone because of their positions in the sky and our positions on Earth.

Re: Observing Project - Red Dwarf Stars
Thanks for the link Alan - this is a very interesting and imaginative set of targets. Maybe I'll check out Gliese 412 this eve. Well, we can't always be observing DSO 's especially with the LP at home.

Re: Observing Project - Red Dwarf Stars
I figured it would be some kind of diversion for when the moon is out as well. While its not really my cup of tea per se, we have a wide range of interests here, so thought I'd add to the mix given the uniqueness of the red dwarf.

Re: Observing Project - Red Dwarf Stars
Thanks for the suggestion. I would need to haul out the computer-controlled 10-inch SCT for this. I don't think that star-hopping with my 102mm will be effective. I printed the article as a PDF and stored it in a \folder for \Observing Targets.
Best Regards,
Mike M.
