Southern hemisphere nova in Reticulum.

#1

Post by KingClinton »

Astronomers have spotted a classical nova outburst in a type of variable star that involves a white dwarf orbiting a main sequence star. Nova Reticulum 2020 has been briefly visible from the Southern Hemisphere.

very nice, took me awhile to realize what i'm looking at, the big white blob (thaught i was looking at a star glob cluster) is the supernova and the blank image is the prev data befor the event shown in a gif .

i'm little confused on the scope a 100mm newtonian f3.6 , ahh i thought an astrograph in basicly in usual terms a netwonian since typicaly almost all refractors reach focus for camera and don't require the usual info if it's astrograph ready .

the before image was done with the newt,

this is apparntly the scope shown with the code rob put in the details .
