Thanks for sharing the article Graeme. Should be a pretty sight. Venus is riding high in the early eves I have noticed. I checked it out with 25x100 binos last night and made out the phase pretty easily. I also thought I could make out the phase naked eye last night, but it was a bit fleeting. I managed to get glasses recently that correct my nearsightedness to 20/15 in the right eye, 20/20 in the left eye.

I had every intention of catching the three amigos -no, not those- I mean Mars, Saturn and Jupiter early this morning but after a restless night I slept right through it.
Fortunately Venus and the seven sisters is an evening event.
