It's not real right? I cannot check it, it is cloudy. On other sites it is shown mag. 17 or what. What gives? Is skysafari losing it?
Why is comet 289P/Blanpain shwn to have mag.0.8 in Skysafari.??

Is it a glitch?? I cannot believe it is real, right? But both Skysafari 5plus ans Skysafari 6 pro on my phone shows this, mag. 0.8, and visually it fills the whole fov ! What is more, it says it will brighten more, until 0.2 in the net few weeks. It is in Ursa Major now.

SkySafari tracks comets positions correctly, but magnitudes almost always off. On the other hands asteroid magnitudes seems to be always accurate. They obviously relying on some external server for predictions.
Comet Chasing gives comet magnitudes which track well.
