The Monocerotids "storm" seems to have been a bust. Perhaps the comet that the meteors came from was Comet Kohoutek?

We counted 13 through breaks in the clouds over 20ish minutes. Considering we never got a good clear opening on Monoceres and only saw some burning out toward the edge, I reckon it could have been quite brilliant.
