The rocky material that fell to Earth in a blazing fireball over the Cotswold town of Winchcombe in February has had its classification formally accepted.

Hi Graeme. This is an amazing link on the Winchcombe Meteorite and details from the Meteoritical Society and the Natural History Museum. As a carbonaceous chondrite and can date back to 4.6 billion years ago, this is an extremely informative find. Nice article. A bit more detail than the usual generic interview with the man-on-the-street who 'saw a fireball.'
Any metaphor will tear if stretched over too much reality.

Really enjoyed the article. Seems like there are a lot of people really excited about it. The picture of the family standing by a spot where a chunk struck their drive way, making a star burst pattern, really made me smile. Between the scientific importance of the find as well as the effect on the people living there made this all around good reading. Thanks for sharing the link! :)
