Anyone know if this coincidence has a name?

Re: Coincidence
I do not know enough to be able to say if it is simply a coincidence or if it is caused by the effect the sun's gravity on the Moon's orbit. However, if I was a betting person, I would bet a vanilla cookie that the sun's gravity has something to do with it!
Whatever the cause, I think it is interesting. Thanks for pointing this out!

Re: Coincidence
Double Apsis? I can't find a specific term for both events occurring so close to each other.

Re: Coincidence
That is interesting; I have to wonder how often those two events happen on the same day? Well Graeme, you noticed it, you name it...

Re: Coincidence
I was curious and bored according to http://www.astropixels.com, this won't happen again until July 6, 2064; 43 years and a day from now. Then it happens again on July 4, 2076.
Neat catch again, Graeme!
