Ah, this explains why the water seems to rotate faster as it goes down our drains now. And in the southern hemisphere it rotates in the opposite direction due to the coriolis effect. Thanks for the interesting link and article AntennaGuy, and the best of regards.

I wonder if the huge number of satellites going into orbit might increase the earth's rotation? Hopefully something else we can blame Elon for!
