Spectacular New Crater Discovered on Mars

The crater is located in the Valles Marineris region near the equator, and it formed at some point between September 2016 and February 2019.

Amazing stuff and it is highly interesting that the crater just formed. I wonder what would happen on Earth if something like this were to happen.
