“Amazing clip HP!”
Thanks Jim. To be clear, I didn’t take the image. Frankly, I would have passed out if I’d been there.
Andrei, yes, good image but the comments not so much. That’s Reddit. Fun nevertheless.

Re: Saturn rising
Another interesting view.
From the comments on Reddit:
For reference: source video - the Saturn occultation video was made by a18cm Astro Physics 180EDT, aMeade 5000 3x Barlow and aToUcam2. Some after processing was done, to push the brightness of the faint Saturn to match that of the Moon. The video passes twice as fast as it was in reality.

Re: Saturn rising
Okay, who saw Saturn late last night as it rose at the 1 o'clock position to Luna? Pretty neat as I was getting ready to head to work around 11:40 PM.

Re: Saturn rising
I'm still waiting. Every day the forecast is for better weather "in three or four days."
Any metaphor will tear if stretched over too much reality.

Re: Saturn rising
I hear you and feel your pain GCoyote.
My first ever OIII filter has sat on the kitchen table for ten days straight. I look at it wistfully at breakfast every morning and tell myself this too shall pass and the elusive Rosette and Veil will be mine sone day. And Saturn will still be there crisp and clear with Triton nearby. Some day.
