Partial lunar eclipse 16 July 2019.

There will be a partial eclipse of the Moon on 16 July 2019.

It will be best viewed from Africa, Europe and eastern Asia.
From South America the Moon will rise with the shadow and the Australians will see the Moon set with the shadow.

Unfortunately our north American friends will miss this one entirely.

The moon was just a few degrees above the horizon here in Liverpool, but I managed to get a few photos.

I managed to see most of it, I went to bed about 30 minutes before the maximum shadow was cast.
Pretty cool to see.
