Moon shots June 15

#1

Post by MrShorty »

Managed some shots of the moon last night. Featured tonight we have Aristarchus and it's accompanying plateau, Kepler and Reiner Gamma, and Proclus with Palus Somni. I find that I don't get good full disc shots through the scope, but I happened to try getting a full disc shot through the RACI, and it did not turn out too bad (the big bar is from one of the RACI's crosshairs).

Good stuff, MrShorty!

I've been meaning to try a close-in shot of Reiner Gamma but I never remember it.

Looks good MrShorty.
I have experience this "less than full disc" image phenomena as well.
Thank you for the share.
