Has anyone marked these on their map yet? Are any visible with a telescope?

I wonder if there is anything left that could be used in the future?

Anything left of our minds...? Or anything left in resources to post...? :-)

They are visible, but only in general as in this image I have marked for the Apollo sites.

I actually meant at the crash sites themselves. Being as how we are suppose to go back to the moon to stay the crash debris might be a valuable resource. Recycling and reusability might take on a whole new meaning.

Oooh. Ok. I misunderstand.
Hmm. Well, only time will tell if any of it is useful.
It will be interesting if we make it back up there. :-)

I expect most of the items left behind would require more time and energy to deconstruct than they are worth. The technology of the landers is certainly very outdated. One exception might be the rovers. Throw on some modern lithium battles and you could joy ride in those for a bit. :D

What I would like to see is a mission to collect samples of each lander to learn how well they have aged in the lunar environment. Future long duration missions might benefit having these as a fifty year old baseline study.
Any metaphor will tear if stretched over too much reality.

Well if you are already on the moon and you need some parts for making something or fixing something it might be better to scavenge them there rather than getting them from earth.
