It sure sounds good in the above article, but I'm sorry it is already dying. The idea is that the graviton has a small rest mass.
But then gravity would propagate slower than light speed. This is not observed as the LIGO event https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GW170104 puts a severe upper limit on the graviton mass. The gravitational signal arrived before the light.
