Makes perfect sense. Molten salt electrolysis is one of the tools needed to 'live off the land' in the inner solar system and potentially for extracting usable resources from asteroids as well. However in a hard vacuum, there is no reason that the higher temperature process could not also be used in other locations if you can construct a suitably large mirror for heat and enough solar cells to generate the electrical current.
