I seem to have problems understanding potential without a field.

Re: SWaB: Has a new experiment just proven the quantum nature of gravity?
It's one of the conceptually difficult things that happens when one makes the transition from classical to quantum electrodynamics. In the Schrödinger equation with EM fields present the potential directly affects the phase of the wave function even in regions with no fields.turboscrew wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 9:39 pm I seem to have problems understanding potential without a field.
I posted this link in the older thread (IIRC) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aharonov–Bohm_effect
