Well, that's fine. At present though inflation is just one possibility. It's predictions are not fully confirmed.

So, if inflation preceded infinitely small singularity does it mean that the inflation has started with even smaller than infinitely small singularity or from negative space? ;)

HA! :lol: All a singularity means is that your theory is rubbish. Singularities are mathematical artifacts and not realized in Nature. Ethan's article is profoundly disappointing in that regard.

ECSK gravity (and other viable alternatives to General Relativity) is free of singularities and achieves the smoothness results of inflation by having many Big Bounces to smooth out the universe's rough edges.
