Link to this popped up in my email. To me, looks like there might be a serious skew here as most of the planets have orbital periods measured in days...or less.

There are only 2 planets in the database with orbital periods > 20 days.
Without even considering the host star's stats, these are all exposed to conditions worse than Mercury. Gotta start somewhere though!

I continue to be amazed by how closely most exoplanets orbit their stars. The prospects for life seem dim out there. Goldilocks earth-like planets or super-earths seem to be extremely rare.
