What we need here is to entice some of the folks over on the CN Solar Observing and Imaging Forum to participate here... There is a lot of conversation about the Coronado and the Lunt dedicated scopes, as well as the Quark.

I've sent a few invitations, but no joy so far. Too bad. :|

I have spent some time in the solar forums there, it seems that there are an abundence of imagers in there and they tend to take over the majority of conversations.

Oh, boy, no doubt about that! There are several folks who really seem dedicated, and really know what they're doing with the imaging. They do seem to welcome visual observers, as well, but we do get kind of lost in the mix.

No worse than some of the people in the refractor forum over there
Now there is a cutthroat bunch at times!

As much as I would like to get a new one right now I will be holding off purchasing one for a while yet.
There are a couple of major purchases that need to take place before this.

Geoff, I do not mind having a dedicated solar telescope. Some of my refractors are better than others on certain targets so in a sense some of them are dedicated as well. :)
