A few shots from the last maximum.

After seeing Keith's post about images from the previous solar max, I thought I'd share a few of my favourite captures, taken through a Lunt LS100 Ha scope and DMK51.
Thanks for looking.

I like your work. I remember that "loop"... one doesn't often see one that perfect. I used mine for an avatar for a long time.

Fingers crossed that we'll pull out of the current minimum starting next year (2020). Then we'll be "back in the saddle again".

Thanks for the memories.

Ivan, I missed your forum introduction thread, and just learned who you are. You, Keith, and Frasier were my major mentors when I was just starting out in the solar imaging game. I'm very glad to see you here.

Thanks John, I really enjoyed my time over on the solar group at AF and all the banter we had regarding imaging and viewing, and hope to continue it here as well.

Mouthwatering images Ivan, thanks for the memories.
I still haven't worked out where my new laptop has hidden my old images, but I'll try to find them when I get my health issues sorted out in the New Year.

Breathtaking! It blows my mind that one can capture this kind of imagery without being in a multi-million dollar observatory.
Gear: Orion XT6 Dobs, Orion ST80, Bushnell 12×50 binos, 4-20×70 spotting scope of unknown origin, and at least one good enough eye.
