Threads on each end of a Daystar Quark ?
Just doing a bit of investigating if I can thread things together rather than the thumb screws etc ? A Baader click-lock is another possibility ?
Mine is the Quark Combo so has 1.25" Eyepiece adapter and also a 1.25" tube at the telescope end.
Is it possible to thread this straight onto say M42 threads or similar? Would provide a more solid connection ?
Appreciate any information ideas etc...

I checked the manual for the Combo Quark, but didn't seen any thread specifications. You might email Tiffany at Daystar with the question. Here's her email address:

I'm sure by now you have resolved any issues. Daystars use 1 3/8-24 UN not Metric (M42). Which is frustrating for compatibility reasons. Daystar is happy with this though because you need to buy their adapters at $50+
Recently I have been doing almost exclusively Solar viewing. I have two Lunts a 40mm & a 50mm which I can triple stack. One to use for imaging and the other for visual. Two Lacerta Herschel Wedges Big & Sm with 120mm & 95x1300 refractors using go to alt/az mounts and my big goto EQ.

Hi PhilPhree,
Yes I came to the same conclusion looks like their adapter is the easiest solution, just what us astronomers need another non standard adapter.
