AAS: Exploring Eruptions from the Sun

Normally I would simply post something like this on the astrophysics forum. But I'm giving it a try posting here after some hints? If pieces like this are of interest I'll continue. If not I'll accommodate. Thoughts?

Well @Lowjiber you alone almost make a quorum in favor. ;) The plan would be to post things here that relate to solar activity and imaging. I think the astrophysics forum is still best for solar internal structure and evolution matters. So I'd divide the posts for here from photosphere out?

Keep them coming.

I will tend to get all sorts of things wrong and fully prefer to stand corrected to learn something. My thoughts can go off topic too which might annoy you :)

As more people realise that they are here they may become braver about getting involved and reading through too.

:happy-sunny:
Mentored by Keith, Mike, John and Bill. (The old guard) and forever grateful.

Spending obscene amounts of money building a big fracking solar telescope.
(Trying my best not to curse or swear :) )

I'm not easily annoyed by wandering conversation. :) It would take something like cranky insistence on the Electric Universe idea that there's no fusion in the Sun, it's just a giant light bulb to get me going.

Yes. That was an amazingly tedious conspiracy theory! Never did answer the 'burning' questions: where's the fuse box, who reads the meter, and what's the billing office address? ;)
