AAS: Exploring Eruptions from the Sun
https://aasnova.org/2021/09/03/explorin ... LAorGDUHO4
Normally I would simply post something like this on the astrophysics forum. But I'm giving it a try posting here after some hints? If pieces like this are of interest I'll continue. If not I'll accommodate. Thoughts?

Re: AAS: Exploring Eruptions from the Sun
Well @Lowjiber you alone almost make a quorum in favor. The plan would be to post things here that relate to solar activity and imaging. I think the astrophysics forum is still best for solar internal structure and evolution matters. So I'd divide the posts for here from photosphere out?

Keep them coming.
I will tend to get all sorts of things wrong and fully prefer to stand corrected to learn something. My thoughts can go off topic too which might annoy you
As more people realise that they are here they may become braver about getting involved and reading through too.

Mentored by Keith, Mike, John and Bill. (The old guard) and forever grateful.
Spending obscene amounts of money building a big fracking solar telescope.

Re: AAS: Exploring Eruptions from the Sun
I'm not easily annoyed by wandering conversation. It would take something like cranky insistence on the Electric Universe idea that there's no fusion in the Sun, it's just a giant light bulb to get me going.FRAZ wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 11:30 am Keep them coming.

Yes. That was an amazingly tedious conspiracy theory! Never did answer the 'burning' questions: where's the fuse box, who reads the meter, and what's the billing office address?

Oh that's right, but I know he wasn't into that stuff.
Well, I'm originally from Montreal, but I don't subscribe to that...
Now I just have no idea...

I’m sure it’s not you too. I’m also thinking that it was an infrequent poster who never had anything much else to say…. :shrug:Thefatkitty wrote: ↑Thu Sep 16, 2021 3:44 pmnotFritzArgelander wrote: ↑Thu Sep 16, 2021 3:25 pmMy recollections differ...Thefatkitty wrote: ↑Thu Sep 16, 2021 9:54 am
