I don't know what happened but when I tried to use my LS80 for the first time since pre-Covid I couldn't get it to show any details with my ASI174 so I tried to use it visually and I get nothing but a blob over the entire EP ! I tried for about a good half hour to get something, but no go. It is not me it is the scope.
My LS50 works fine and I got some nice images I will post later.
I figured the etalon was probably trashed. I pulled the focuser section off the etalon and checked it and also checked the DS module and they look fine. As I started to button up the case I thought to check the Blocking filter as I know that some years back I had a problem with the blocking filter on either the LS50 or LS80
It is trashed!! Don't know what caused it unless it was low temps as I have left it outside when the temp gets down to freezing (32F)
I will contact Lunt and see what we can do. I like the Lunts for outreach rather than my Quark, visually they just are nicer to use to show a crowd
I might not always be right but I am never wrong, once I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken...

Very sorry to hear this Jeff, hopefully it can be repaired and does not cost much to do it.
