:weeps:
I'm going to burn my wooded observatory - it's too small - and invest in a three-layer sheet instead, I'll be able to set up two 'scopes side by side on their own pillars.....
Enterprising lot!

Re: Now, if you will excuse me...
Well that all looks familiar . There a fellow named Valery in south France has been producing large full aperture ERF's for SCT 's for a few years now . I contacted him a while back to get a price on an 8" ERF , I can not remember the exact price but believe it was north of 4K . Valery's images are some of the best that I have seen but he only posts a few times a year . The reason is that for "high resolution imaging" at these focal lengths the conditions need to be near perfect to do it . What this is is a large SCT that has been modded into a multi wave length solar scope using the various etalon options shown . Looks like a beautiful rig but I won't be starting any fires around here any time soon .
Solar scopes (Coronado Ha) 60mm double stack , 90mm double stack , 150mm single stack .
W/L scope Williams Optic Megrez 110mm / Lunt herschel wedge .
Night scope Celestron 9.25 XLT
Mounts HEQ6 , HEQ5 , Losmandy G8

Mike, I think I have read every word that Valery ever posted on Solar Chat. He is indeed incredible.
Thanks for the link... I'll read it again.
