Proms are enormous. Below is a fantastic image shot by Martin Wise with a scaled-down Earth superimposed to show the size.

Great capture, though, and certainly puts things into perspective size-wise.....(!)

Then again, Earth is actually quite small if you think of it. About 40 000 km around. Quite many people drive more in a year.
