Make your own portable sundial.
Easy to do at home and should help alleviate some of the lockdown boredom.

Sun...
Hmm, cloudy and cold here in NC
I built one very similar in grade school, cool project.
Wonder how many clouds it could bring?

Re: Make your own portable sundial.
Heh that reminds me. In grade school we made a hygrometer out of a cardboard box and a human hair.
The hair would get longer or shorter depending on the relative humidity and would move a pointer it was attached to.

But what if it's overcast or raining? Will a flashlight do?KingClinton wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:32 pm Easy to do at home and should help alleviate some of the lockdown boredom.

interesting but it doesn't tell you what adhesive to apply when re-attaching your finger to your hand.

Re: Make your own portable sundial.
I looked at this with the intention to build it but I have no idea how to adjust it to Hawaii latitude. Then I got to wondering if a wedge couldn't also function as a sundial with the gnomen put somewhere?
Cheers,
JT
