Easy to do at home and should help alleviate some of the lockdown boredom.

That's kinda cool except you need the sun for it to work.

We havent seen the sun here in weeks. :(

Hmm, cloudy and cold here in NC

I built one very similar in grade school, cool project.
Wonder how many clouds it could bring?

Heh that reminds me. In grade school we made a hygrometer out of a cardboard box and a human hair.

The hair would get longer or shorter depending on the relative humidity and would move a pointer it was attached to.

I looked at this with the intention to build it but I have no idea how to adjust it to Hawaii latitude. Then I got to wondering if a wedge couldn't also function as a sundial with the gnomen put somewhere?
