Lunt 40mm Solar Scope

#1

Post by LDW47 »

I have owned a PST for a year and love it but I just bought a new Lunt 40mm scope with the B600 filter for an excellent Canadian price. If I like it I will sell my like new PST. I know this is after the fact but what are others feelings / findings in the performance etc between the 2 solar scopes ? At this point I will be using it for mainly visual and I have mostly been using a zoom ep with a variable polarizer filter to enhance the contrast with great success. I would appreciate your expertise !

I have not used a Lunt 40mm but loved my PST!

My most used eyepieces were a Vixen LV 10mm, 1.8x barlow and Vixen LV zoom.

I would be interested in your comparison of the two.
