US Hwy 491 between Monticello (Southeast) Utah and Cortez (Southwest) Colorado is one of the darkest roads in the country. I have driven it many times several times at night. It is a very very dark sky. And Moab is close enough to make shopping trips not a pita.

Wishing you a trouble-free dark sky Safari,
JT
