12" Meade LX200 OTA Only

#1

Post by AstroBee »

Does anyone have an idea what a fair price would be to ask for a 12" Meade OTA only. It has a moonlight focuser (no motor) and top and bottom vixen-style rails. Optics are great but I just don't use it anymore so it's just collecting dust. I'm thinking about listing it but have no idea what a fair price would be as all of the 12" scopes I've seen listed are complete with the fork mounts/motorized base and tripods.

Is it an ACF or plain vanilla? Not that I have a clue either way but it might help someone more knowledgable about prices than myself....

Valid point.
It's not ACF but it does have the UHC coatings.

Your closest comparison would probably be a C11 OTA. I would go on to CN classifieds and Astromart to find a representative sample of what people are selling C11s for. I would then add a some more dollars because it is a 12" after all.

Cheers
