I was cleaning and organizing my Terabyte image storage drive and came across this 2015 image I took of Jupiter. It was mere luck that I happened to be imaging when Ganymede was occulting Europa. I didn't even know this was happening until after the image was processed. That is Ganymede's shadow on Jupiter.
After looking at this image, I realized that I was missing Jupiter so I'd thought I'd share this image with others that might also be missing Jupiter.
This image is native sized. This is the size you get at 5600mm.

Even a grizzled old dyed in the wool galaxy hunter like myself, who typically pays little attention to the moon and planets can deeply appreciate the beauty of that image!
