Things i've learnt , remember the camera setting from last session tweak them next time round, frame rate, frame rate, frame rate!` i think was down to 3-4 ms /160 fps and it's flying past that camera chip almost smearing the capture.
use your viewfinder scope only (150-200mm fl) after you initially find it with a red dot.
directly above overhead is the only chance to get anything clear due the atmospheric turbulence ,it plays havoc on this target.
angling your camera chip length ways to the travel direction so you get easier pings of the target landing on the chip (helps for small camera chips)
(i don't think there is a subcategory of satellite imaging,i'll just have to put it in solar system)

Capturing satellite images looks like a lot more fun than shooting trap … and a hundred times harder! I've never attempted to purposefully image a satellite, or an asteroid for that matter. Though I do have images of both. Of course I'm not exactly delighted when a satellite serendipitously ruins a perfectly good DSO image. In fact I have an image of a satellite that tracked right through the hole of the Ring Nebula! I'll have to dredge that up and post it here some week.
Pretty cool and you must have the patience of a cat on a hunt to reel that image of the ISS in. Thanks for sharing.

cheers for the comments, i guess the iss and hubble are the only pair of satellites that are allowed to streak into my images ahaha, the iss on a hand pushed dob isn't for the faint hearted, takes practice and many attempts ,there are certainly a lot better images done with the same technique from others, i was happy with this one.
