Comet Leonard Boxing Day

The tail just keeps growing. Unfortunately, tonight, a patch of cloud came in and blocked the comet as twilight ended. So I only got a few quick grabs during the latter stages of twilight. Both images taken with full frame sensor and 135mm f2 lens. No crop.

This was 25 mins before astronomical twilight

Then came the cloud, this 15 mins before astronomical twilight. Remarkably, the comet tail still pushed through the thin cloud lit by the last remnants of sunset red light.
