This was captured on Friday Night December 24th, as a 26 image sequence captured between 09:13 & 09:35 UT
The comets tail has grown to around 6 degrees in length and greatly in complexity. Through 9x63 binoculars, I can see 2.5 degrees of tail, perhaps 3 degrees using "averted imagination"
I'm sure some of you will be familiar with the game where you say, yep I can still see the tail, further out, yes still there maaayybbee? So there were times when I thought, with the head near one edge of the field, I could see the tail extending across the entire 6 degree field of the binos, but I am not sure how much of this was imagination vs averted vision. 2.5-3 degrees of tail was was obvious. Magnitude remains around Mv 4, although I didn't do a technical assessment on this evening, the comet was a little brighter and easier to see naked eye than previous nights. There is a dark band along the top 1/4 of the frame. This was caused by thin high cloud drifting across the frame.
