Hello Philip. A very nice Venus image from you. DId you use your 300mm lens on this capture? Thanks for sharing this with us Philip and keep up the great DSLR astrophotography work.

Many thanks! I always use my 300mm lens for these types of shots. I will be getting my Mak out again soon and hope to get some better resolution.

I still have a bad back and my Maksutov is still in a box waiting to be unpacked. However, it is still good enough to lift a camera. The latest Venus shot shows the phase more clearly:
