This is all I could do in my poor seeing for this apparition of Mars. Covers almost all the surface area of Mars, at least the most interesting parts, from 160W to 160E longitudes, just some blank desert regions missing. My most notable take away is that Hellas is much less distinct. Usually a bright circular oval, but this time seems 'filled-in', which actually means that the bright dust has blown out of the basin. I guess that these images represent what a casual visual observer would see in an average scope.
All done at f20 on the Bigdog 16 with QHY5L-II OSC camera from Oct 5 thru Nov 2.
Clear skies,
Steve
